Welcome
The Contextual Theology Centre exists to equip churches to engage with their communities. Founded in 2005, our work grows out of almost twenty years of Christian engagement in community organising. As well as offering practical support to local churches, we engage in theological reflection and research - both to inform these churches' practice, and to give voice to their experience in wider public debate.
We are based at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine in East London - where Christians have engaged in worship, hospitality and service for almost 900 years.
